Ammunition / Zombie Max Ammo - Bath Salts?
« on: June 14, 2012, 08:05:08 AM »
So I'm pretty sure you guys have seen the zombie rounds around by now - and the warning on them saying for use on zombies only, which could (maybe?) lead to legal issues if used for self defense on humans.

But how about using them on "zombified" bath salt users? They look like zombies to me  :th_thicon_question:

That's nuts.. as if the zombie targets are "realistic". Gimme a break, I'd take my money elsewhere.

Exactly... Plus I think I want kids to know that if you see the living dead coming for you, it's ok to shoot them  :th_thicon_funny:

So I got a great deal at the annual fishing tackle unlimited sale a month or so ago on the splattering zombie targets (got 20 for $5). 10 are zombie hogs and 10 are zombie butchers.

I went to American Shooting Centers range in G. Bush park Saturday, and was told that they do NOT allow zombie targets at their range because the range is family oriented.

So, they give you a free target of a person's silhouette to shoot at, but splattering zombies is a no-no?? :th_nuts:

Is this common at the ranges around here? Or do I now have yet another reason to avoid ASC???

And what range do you guys most commonly use? I go to Memorial range from time to time, but I prefer the outdoors.

Gun News & Laws / Hey Hey Hey.. Goodbye!
« on: April 05, 2012, 10:50:27 AM »
Looks like my native country is starting to come around a little:
All long gun records are to be destroyed starting this afternoon!  :rocknroll2:

- Note the story is sided toward Quebec trying to keep the registry for themselves, but like every other Canadian not from Quebec, they can go bleep themselves :th_thicon_lol:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/04/05/pol-gun-registry-data-quebec.html

Now if only we can get more lax handgun laws....

with signs like this around Houston, he should know better to even suggest it.  You guys should recognize this:

Of course! I actually have a picture of it myself  :th_thicon_idea:

Politics, Gripes, Complaints / Re: The lost art of driving.
« on: March 27, 2012, 12:56:15 PM »
Ok, so this is what happened about 2 weeks ago - I still to this day don't understand:

I was driving south on hwy 6, and if any of you haven't driven hwy 6 in the last little while, they have construction going on to put medians between north and south lanes. I am getting ready to turn left at briar forest, where they have the new median installed (and clearly painted bright yellow) so I pull into the turn lane, and a woman in a toyota corolla cuts directly in front of me and locks on the brakes with about 30 feet in front of her before the next car. I don't let it bother me, since I'm more than happy (just off work).

We sat there for about 30 seconds - and traffic flowing fast in both directions, its a 45 zone but people both ways were doing about 50-60. Then she decides to hit the gas, jump the curb, and stop with her car across the fast lane - there was an SUV coming, that I to this day don't know how stopped in time!! There was a work van with landscaping trailer 2 cars behind the SUV that had to jump the curb (median) and barely got stopped in front of me in time. So then she pokes out in the next lane, the driver of the nissan maxima must have been on his/her toes that day because they swerved and missed her by about 3 inches, she then stops and does the same thing with the next lane until she gets across and pull into the gas station. This happened so fast that nobody even hit their horn - there was no time to! She then crossed completely through the gas station parking lot and tries to take a left on briar forest, but traffic was blocking her so she had to wait - I passed here (waiting) once the left turn signal went green and I drove on past, I can't believe she didn't get killed!!!

Why are these people allowed to drive? and how does this even make any sense????

Just came across this - another great attempt at the anthems - and since this is the hockey thread, what a better place to post it  :icon_wink:

Also like to add people who drive with their brakes on enough to keep the lights lit up - We have no idea when you're actually slowing down  :scream3:

Welcome to the site... I will admit its kind of hard to take you to be a law abiding tow truck driver with a name 'wreckless'. That is unless you are trying to say you've never been in a wreck..  :th_thicon_funny:

I went in there about a month ago, people are real friendly, and the shop is super clean.
It did seem a bit odd that they told me to just go and pick up and play with whatever I wanted while they did their own things. I liked the shop, but it gave me an uneasy feeling, not so sure about it  :thinker:

He should've stayed in the suv, but details are pretty limited? .. But the other guy definitely deserved a whooping for starting the fight.. death on the other hand seems a bit harsh.

I went to ASC today and busted a box of clays, good thing I had hunting boots on because the place is under water!

They have a fixed spot at 10-15 yards that you can use anything from birdshot to buckshot-NO SLUGS. But right next to that is 50 and 100 yards etc. mainly for rifles but you can also use shotguns with slugs. :th_thicon_idea:
