Is Walther a good gun company? I personally dont know anyone that owns a Walther and have never heard any reviews on them.

Yes, they are. But, there are "real" Walther gns.. And then guns made by the airgun company that OWNS Walther... And, they just put Walthers name on them...

The PK380 and P22 fits into that category. They are made in germany, but not at the same quality and with the same quality parts as the P99 and previous Walther designs. Also, the new PPKs are actually made here in the USA by S&W, and they put Walther's name on it...

Understand that the P99 and other Walthers are marked on the slide with "S&W" - because USA requires the importer's name to be on the gun.. And, S&W imports all the Walthers. ONLY the PPK is actually made by S&W now...

I personally would not buy the Walther 22 or the new 380. But, the REAL Walther guns are sweet

Yea, I know there is a difference - I only put my response on this thread because I had not yet read your other post - and the similarities are so close to what will be coming out here commercially...

While the PK380 is not made by Walther itself it is still a quality product.  I can't speak on the P22 yet, but I own a PK380 and carry it daily.  It is a fine firearm.  There were alot of issues early in its release, but I have had no problems with mine.  I've put over 1000 rounds through it and have yet to have a hickup.  I trust my life to my PK380 every day.  2cents :p
