I bought a P38 at a gun show a few years back

I love the gun and it is an amazing shooter.

It was a replacement for the German Luger at the end of WWII

I learned a lot here:

http://www.p38forum.com/

Some very knowledgeable folk there.

Lots of hammer fired guns.
A few striker fired

Thank you

@ Shipwreck

I believe it has been refinished .. but not sure ..

I spent a lot of time trying to find out and found that there were a few made for "special occasions" what ever that means.

That sounds great for value, but I can't confirm it.

So I'm just assuming it has a very good re-finish job on it.

I've shot it quite a bit and it functions perfectly.

Fun gun to own.

I've never seen one that wasn't black/blue, so that is why I was asking
