Form 1 out the door...
DTapping-Zombies:
var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":true};
So I sent off the Form 1 for my SBR 300blk today... along with a copy of my executed trust and $200 money order. For those interested in the process... these were the steps I took.
1. Fill out the Form 1 (for SBR)... printed on front and back of each page. The ATBFE will not accept the form if it's printed on one side :bangheadonwall:
a. When signing the form 1, on line 10, I put "Trustee of the <name of trust goes here>".
b. No need for photo nor CLEO signature if using trust.
c. MAKE 2 COPIES OF THE FORM 1 AND INCLUDE THEM IN THE MAILING!!!
2. Include copy of executed trust document (if going this route).
a. Just to play it safe, I added the lower receiver information (i.e. Spike's Tactical, model, serial #, etc.) on the Inventory page of the trust.
b. Also, I printed the trust on both sides of the pages lol.
3. Include $200 money order.
4. Send off to: National Firearms Act Branch, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Washington, DC 20226
5. Wait for tax stamp lol.
6. Then get the lower receiver engraved.
So I'm using one of the Spike's lower receivers for the SBR 300blk build. Thanks to Ryan for doing the transfer (FFL) on the lowers. Outstanding guy. Let me know when you find out on who/where to get the engraving done. Thanks.
Also, ordered a 9" Grim Reaper barrel 2 months ago, was finally shipped out couple days ago. So waiting for that to come in.
Next up... Form 4 :scream3:
grumper:
You sent 2 copies of the Form 1 right? :th_thicon_idea:
Last place I used for engraving was Ident Marking Services. Took about 2 weeks to get 3 receivers engraved and get them back.
DTapping-Zombies:
OH PHOOEY :bangheadonwall:
no i didn't... i made copies but only submitted one lol. thanks grumper. hope every one learns from my mistake. they'll just send everything back to me and i'll just mail it out again... time is all i have lol.
grumper:
You might be able to fill another one out exactly the same and mail it to them with a note saying it's a duplicate and it goes with your other form. 6 months is way too long to wait for them to kick it back.
DTapping-Zombies:
Thanks Baboon. I'll check it out.
Grumper... taking your advise. I'm sending in copies of the ATF form 1 lol. Hopefully they can match it up the the original application. I've included a letter to explain.
