Anyone here with a M&P Shield yet?
« on: April 28, 2012, 07:18:30 PM »
I have a PM9 kahr already. I went to buy a P9 Kahr this morning - I thought that the SLIGHTLY larger P9 might shoot a tiny bit softer than the PM9...

I rented the P9 Kahr this morning... IF I liked it, I was going to buy one this morning...

The Kahr P9 is as harsh to shoot as the PM9 is. Despite a small size difference, the guns shoot the same.

For the heck of it, I rented the Shield as an afterthought. I have shot M&Ps before, and I hate the trigger. I've had zero interest in owning one really... So, that tells you where I am coming from..... I am NOT biased towards the M&P, and probably decidedly the total opposite...

However, I found 25-30% less recoil (to me) on the Shield compared to the Kahr. All shots - right in the center at 7 yards.

For a guy who has never liked M&Ps, I LIKED it! The trigger on the Shield is different and much crisper than a standard M&P trigger...

Get this... I am now on the waiting list for a Shield! I didn't buy the Kahr P9, and will hopefully have a 9mm Shield within a week.

No experience with them yet but I have read a lot of good reviews as well.

haha.

I ALWAYS oil and lube a new gun before the first range trip.

It is true that Glock comes with that gold grease. But even I usually throw down a toothbrush with oil on the rails of a new glock, and clean the barrel before the first range trip.

It'll be this weekend before I can shoot it.

I am still in shock - there is no "Beretta" written on my new gun. What did I do?  :th_thicon_lol:

Send it to me and I will engrave the Beretta logo on it for you!! That should make you feel better.

Can't get to that until this weekend, unfortunately.

Its close enough to my Kahr PM9 that the Kahr may be up on the site forsale next week. We'll see. I just wanna make sure I have no issues with this one.

I just gotta wait for the magazine to hit the market so I can get some extra ones.
