I've already been given funny looks by women on more than one occasion buying some stuff for my sister, and I've given my AK front sight post an ad-hoc combat night sight by adding some flame-orange nail polish (should've gone with the neon green though). 115% improvement in visibility in low-light situations was good enough for me; being able to survive the zombie apocalypse with these is too.

To the personal hygiene aisle! CHARGE!!

Lmao.

Jeb
"Keep your booger hook off the bang switch!"
Have you ever looked around at the group of people you are in and thought, "If the Zombie Apocalypse happens right now, this is what I have to work with."?

wow, I had read that they could be used to plug GSW's so I have a couple in my EDC and Range Bags.  Great post!

Medic's have used this trick for a long time and they do work like a charm for GSW and other deep puncture wounds.

bleeding is the first worry, but often, blood vessels have been cut, so plugging the hole won't save you from such wounds,  and infection is highly likely to kill you later, too, absent modern medical care. Plus, if it's shtf, being NOT at the top of your game, even for a few days, is likely to be fatal, and gunshot wounds often take MONTHS to heal from and often leave you maimed, or at least, not  100%.
