I'm enjoying pocket carry
« on: June 09, 2012, 06:38:00 PM »
Because of recent health issues (I prev got into it), I can't carry my 2.5-3lb loaded fullsize 92FS IWB right now. Anyway, I REALLY like my M&P Shield. And, pocket carry with it is very convenient. You can put your hand in your pocket anytime you want. Very easy to access the gun if need be.

I'm also very confident in that particular gun, as I've done much 1 handed practice and 1 handed double taps (I have found that on most guns, I do doubletaps better with 1 hand than with 2 (for the placement of the 2nd rapid fire round)

Cool man. I'm glad it's working out for you.

I have a Ruger LCP and find myself carrying it more and more often over my Glock 27 & my Glock 27 is my favorite gun out of the entire safe.

Nothing beats sliding a gun in your pocket as if it were just a set of keys. That's my attitude toward my mouse gun, which is 7 ounces.

The pocket is good and goes with cargo shorts perfectly.

I pocket carry my wife's TCP.380 all the time because it's just plain easy and comfortable. Especially in the Texas summer, the convenience of a small "pocket" gun is really hard to beat.

Get a Bond Arms .45/.410 and some of the PDX1 .410 defense ammo...that will make for a bad day for anyone who ever needs to eat it.

That PDX1 defense ammo is a complete joke. I shot a rather large possum with it from about 10-15ft away with it, first shot, made it jump and squirm around like crazy, second shot, same story, third shot, used my 686, and ended that non-sense.

Nah problem is that the rifling caused it to spread excessively at the range you shot most likely but 10-15ft shouldn't be a prob.
