Custom molded earplugs

Has anyone tried the Radians Custom Molded Earplugs?
You supposed mix the two compounds and shove it in your ear. When it cures you have a comfortable custom pair of ear plugs.
Reviews? Are they any good?

I used to wear them. I have to wear ear plugs pretty deep and I couldn't get these to fit deep enough for my liking. There was also just barely enough compound to fit in my two ears. If I ever used them again, I'd buy one pack for each ear.

I just got a set of Surefire EarPros. Cheap and seem to work great.

I got some custom molded for me one time. I bet they will be doing it at the NRA show next year

I really wanted to like mine, but the flanges didn't go far enough into my ear canal. Lots of people I know use and like them though.

There's usually a dude at the local gun shows doing it.

I like the $2.99 reusable Winchester plugs personally (3 flanged with cord - but the cord usually rips off). They go in as far as you need and last quite a while before needing to get another pair.

FYI,
I bought the Radians custom ear plug stuff. I made them and tried to use them at IDPA last Thursday. They SUCK. It seems like all they did was suck up all the noise and transfer the vibrations straight to my eardrums. When I put them in they fit snugly but didn't block near enough noise. Wasted $13.00 as far as I'm concerned.

When I used them, my first set were exactly like you described. The second time I molded them I was a lot more aggressive with pushing them into my ear canal and they were a bit better.

I was a roughneck off shore for a while and you have to wear ear plugs most of the time you're on tour. One guy on our crew tried the radians plugs for a while but didn't feel like they blocked enough noise and went back to foam plugs.

I love my howard leight electronic muffs when it's not hot. The rest of the time I use surefire earpros.  I guess everyone has their own preference though. As long as they're in your price range give them a shot and see if they work for you. Nothing wrong with blowing a few bucks on ear pro to find out what works best.

I'm going to have to try a pair of those.  The muffs are so fricking hot outside.

Muffs mess with me. When I bring my shotgun up to shoot skeet and hit my muffs on the stock it hurts.  Lol.  I learned real quick I didn't like them.

The earpros work great. And at that cheap I'd definitely give them a try.

Just ordered a pair.  I hope to have them before this weekend to try out.
