I wouldn't pay or let someone else clean my guns. I am too cheap to let anyone do what I can do myself

There is a place here in Waco called The Gun Cleaners. Cool peeps, and also sell ammo cheap. They did the FFL transfer for my brother in law's 1911 for free because he was military. I do almost all of my local business with them.

They do ultrasonic cleaning. I've never had them do any of mine, but he said he'd do my carry gun so I could check out the process. I'll probably let him just so I can see what all the fuss is about.

They don't charge much either. You can also buy a membership and they'll do like 3 guns a week for a year or something.  I'm going to have to check it out.

I run a bore-snake through my bolt rifles immediately after shooting them, and I lube/clean the bolt.  On my ARs I bore-snake immediately, then clean the bcg. Handguns I clean completely after every outting. I don't think I've ever cleaned the barrels on my bolt guns... And I have ALOT of rounds through them.

I detail clean mine after every outing, sometimes blowing a whole rag-shirt's worth of patches in one session. I like mine squeaky clean and well-oiled (especially with the humidity in the air around here being an open invitation to a rust party), and I often have my friends help me do it. They don't have guns, and like to shoot mine, so they help me take them down once we're done for the evening.

I've been meaning to construct an electrolytic bore cleaner for quite a while now. Apparently it's supposed to be able to restore the bore of old war rifles like Mosin-Nagants to the sheen of a new barrel in some cases, by drawing out the years of uncleaned fouling, hardened cosmoline, and gun powder residue bonded to the surface of the metal.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) at how many people own guns and have no idea how to field strip and clean them. My wife suggested that I start offering classes in gun disassembly and cleaning. I thought no one would be interested, but since she has been so supportive of my firearms training business, I put the classes on my website just to humor her.
Guess what? I have had more people than you can imagine who have paid me to help them learn how to break down and maintain their guns. Even simple things like Glocks and AR's.

Did you make sure to tell them to make sure it's unloaded first. Then check again , then again.   Then start to field strip it.

Always. In all of my classes, no one touches a gun until I have drilled safety, safety, safety into their heads first.

Nope, no blank round. Actual video and actual injury. The guy was either suspended or fired, and he appealed. Lost his appeal, thankfully. It was in the news some months back.
